Bless Israel Investments believes there is a two-fold reason why we should bless Israel. Probably the most popular and inherently self serving reason is that we ourselves wish to be blessed. There is nothing wrong with this motive. For, if we do in fact bless Israel for our own prosperity, then the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob promises a double blessing. First, if we bless Israel than the word of God pronounces through the Word that we too shall be blessed.
“I will make you a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Gen. 12: 2-3
However, in these last days we are living in, Israel is in greater need for support then ever. No doubt, the greatest threat to her right to exist may not come so much from Palestinian issue as it does from a nuclear capable Iran. Here we have a true “explosive” situation all the more supported by Iran’s president, M. Amadinijab, who has publicly stated that it is his and Islam’s desire to see “Israel wiped off the map”. Then to boot, we see any vestige of world support also dwindling. Most tragic is the turnaround of our country in it’s support for Israel. Previous administrations have supported Israel both politically and militarily. Yet the compass appears to be rapidly turning with the Obama administration. Certain overtures made to the Palestinians, speeches made and medals given to noted foes of Israel (Obama gave the President Medal of Freedom to “two of the most virulent anti-Israel people in the world…”, notes Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America) raises serious questions on continued support of Israel by America through this administration. In fact, Klein thinks Obama “may become the most hostile president to Israel ever” based on the president’s speeches and many of his foreign policy appointments. Just for these reasons alone, we should help and support Israel as much as possible. Certainly praying for Israel is one of the most powerful defensive weapons available. However, we can help in other areas as well. What better way than to financially bless her by investing in her? What is so potentially unique about this realm is that we too can be blessed financially as well, as a number of our advisory services attest to.
But more important, as Christians, we help fulfill a biblical mandate that goes much further than just being personally blessed. First, by being Christians, we are now citizens of Israel as expressed in Ephesians 2:12, “At that time (before being in Christ Jesus) you were without the Messiah, excluded from the citizenship of Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, with no hope and without God in the world.” This is very significant, for as Christians, we are heirs of the land which at a spiritual minimum is ours, either in the present or future (and realize that our future entering into “Eratz Israel” will truly take place when the last battle defeats the enemy of old in the city of Jerusalem immediately before the Millennial Kingdom is established as given in Rev. 19: 14) . Therefore, Eratz Israel should be our concern, because on a minimal level, it is now spiritually ours. More important is that through the Cross of Jesus we have been grafted into the family of God, which very much includes our Israeli brothers and sisters.
“But now in Christ Jesus, you who were far away have been brought near by the blood of Messiah. For He is our peace, who made both groups one and tore down the dividing wall of hostility. In His flesh, He did away with the law of the commandments of regulations, so that He might create in Himself one new man from the two, resulting in peace.” Eph. 2:13-15
The ramifications of this truth are deep. For it was the mighty Son of God who became the first “New Man”, and allowed us to become new creations in Him because of His victory over all things (death, hell, sin, the world, etc.). And it is in His heart and desire that we would advance the one “New Man” concept for the sake of not only Israel, but to help conclude this Age so the next on can come forth. Therefore, in a much greater way than we can think or imagine, one way or another we have a vested interest (i.e. investment) in Israel.
Even if you decide not to invest financially in Israel, I would ask that you at least invest you prayers and services unto her. I have included a powerful exhortation (under construction) by Robert Stearns, executive director of Eagles Wings Ministries, which best sums up what we, as believers in Y’shua Ha’Masciah, should be desirous of.
